Overview

InternetPeriscope is a tool for System Administrators, CTO's, Network Engineers, and anyone else who is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and securing machines on the Internet.

InternetPeriscope enables you to:

• Monitor your Web Servers, SMTP Servers, POP Servers, DNS Servers, and other machines on the Internet, letting you know when a machine or service is not functioning correctly, and keeping a History of a machine's problems.
  
• Detect Intrusion Attempts by Hackers, in real-time, and find out the name, address, phone number, and email address of the Hacker's ISP, so you can report the incident.
  
• Remotely check your servers for potential vulnerabilities and installed hacker software.
  
• Remotely analyze your Internet hosts, to determine the following:

• What Internet (TCP/IP) Services are running on your machines.
• What RPC Services (Unix ONC and Windows DCE) are running on your machines.
• The names of Users, Groups, Shares, and Sessions on your Windows machines.
• The type and versions of your Web and Mail Servers.

• Use the DNS Tool to debug your DNS problems, looking up Mail (MX), Address (A), PTR, Nameserver (NS), and Source of Authority (SOA) records from the DNS server of your choice.
